Who is Veerbhadra to Lord Shiva

How did Lord Shiva create Veerbhadra and Mahakali?

The birth of Virabhadra is in Chapter 32 Rudra Samhita Sati Khanda described by Shiva Mahapurana . The same legend is found in other Puranas as well.

When Sati burned himself in yajna fire, Shiva Ganas and the divine sage Narada informed Lord Shiva of everything that was happening in yajna. Shiva then tossed a lock of his Jata / Hair and Veerabhadra with Bhadrakali were born.

Then Rudra, the destroyer of the universe, took a strand of hair from his head and tossed it over the mountain.

O Master, as the strand of hair was tossed it was divided into two parts and the deafening sound similar to the sound of the time of dissolution could be heard.

O divine sage, from the front part of the matted strand of hair was born the incredibly great and great warrior who was the leader of his power, known as Virabhadra.

He looked like the flames of the fire of the time of dissolution and had two thousand hands. It enveloped the world all around and towered over it four inches.

At that time, with Shiva's angry breathing, a hundred kinds of fevers and thirteen kinds of spiritual humor came out.

From the other part of the matted strand of hair, Mahakali was born . Oh my dear, she was terrible to look at and surrounded by goblins.

Then Lord Shiva orders Virabhadra and Bhadrakali to destroy Yajna.

Brahma said: “When Lord Siva, the husband of Sati, heard the words of Virabhadra, he was delighted and said, 'Oh Virabhadra, victorious. '

You listen to whatever has to be done by you that would please me.

Daksa Prajapati, the son of Brahma, is currently preparing for a yajna. He's my opponent, besides being an evil, unwise, and cocky person.

They reduce his yajna and those there to ashes. After that, oh VĨrabhadra, the best of my ganas, you quickly return to me.

The gods Gandharvas, Yaksas and others present there should be put in ashes. Even when Visnu, Brahma, Indra or Yama are present there, they fell to the ground and made all the strenuous efforts.

In Chapter 33 various goddesses are mentioned in the company of Mahakali.

With the same facial features and costumes as Shiva, the ganas of the great warrior, they offered prayers at the time of launch and showed their enthusiasm.

The goddesses such as Kālī, Kātyāyanī, šānī, Cămundă, Mundamardinī, Bhadrakālī, Bhadrā, Tvaritā, Vaisņavī, Mahākālī, Bhairava and KSetrapalas quickly marched on the orders of Shiva to destroy the Yajnia.

In addition to the Dākinīs, Sakinis, Pramathaganas, Guhyakas, Kasmandas, Parpatas, Catakas, Brahmarāksas, Bhairvas and KSetrapalas began to obey Shiva's command to destroy Daksa's victims.

Similarly, the sixty-four yoginis marched on to prevent the destruction of the Yogajna of Daksa.

In the next verses the total strength of the ganas assigned to each goddess is mentioned.

Rohit.

Did Lord Vishnu try to save Daksha? Has Virbhadra met Lord Vishnu? What happened then?

The destroyer ♦

@Rohit. Virabhdra says that Vishnu is important to him as Rudra. Lord Vishnu leaves this place after fighting with Virabhadra at some point. Lord Vishnu knows very well that Daksha did something wrong.

@ShivaneShambuLinga Lord Mahadeva's destruction of Yajna is mentioned in Vedas. So it repeats itself in creation cycles. Check out my question and answer here.
