Cancel a vacationer's reservation

When the vacationer has to cancel
Vacationers should make the cancellation through their account. In many cases, you don't even need to approve the cancellation. The holiday maker will then receive a refund in accordance with your cancellation policy. If your approval is required, you can cancel by following the steps below.

If a vacationer no longer has the original method of payment, you should still try to get their refund through your home owner's area. The vacationer's financial institution may still be able to credit the vacationer or write a check as part of their reconciliation.

If you are an agency that uses built-in software, vacationers will need to contact you directly so that they can cancel bookings using your own software.

Approve a traveler's cancellation request
If a traveler has requested a cancellation through their account and requires your approval to confirm the cancellation, you can do so by following these steps:
  1. Sign in to your account.
  2. If you have more than one advertisement, click on the one you want.
  3. click on inbox.
  4. Via the selection menu all messages you can filter your conversations.
  5. Select the guest's name.
  6. Make sure that the vacationer has requested a cancellation in the "My Bookings" section of their account. When you initiate the cancellation, it will affect the success statistics of your property.
  7. In the chat area, click Confirm cancellationto cancel the booking.

When you need to cancel
Occasionally, you may have to cancel a booking yourself. Please note that cancellations made by landlords affect your success statistics.
  1. Sign in to your account.
  2. If you have more than one advertisement, click on the desired object.
  3. click on inbox.
  4. Via the selection menu all messages you can filter your conversations.
  5. Select the guest's name.
  6. Click at the bottom of the page cancel booking.
  7. Select the most appropriate reason for the cancellation from the selection menu in step 2. Depending on the reason for the cancellation, you can qualify for a cancellation waiver. Every cancellation initiated by the landlord / agency that does not include a waiver affects your success statistics.
  8. After checking the refund amount, click Further.
  9. click on To confirmto process the refund amount and cancellation.
