Campsite Indigo Paris
Paris campsite. Camping and Paris don't go together? At first sight it might not, but it is possible to stay overnight on the campsite while on vacation in Paris. Few people know that there is a campsite in Paris located within the Périphérique, the Paris ring road. I want you guys Paris campsite please introduce it in more detail, as it is characterized by numerous advantages. Useful information about camping in Paris can be found in this article.
What you need to know about camping in Paris
Inside the 20 arrondissements of Paris is - unbelievable but true - a campsite that was recently renovated in 2015/2016. Due to its central location and its good price-performance ratio, it is highly recommended for anyone who likes camping. The campsite is called Indigo Paris Bois de Boulogne. It is the only campsite in Paris.
Location Paris campsite
The Paris Bois de Boulogne campsite is located in the 16th arrondissement of Paris. It is located directly on the Seine in the Bois de Boulogne. The address is: 2, Allée du Bord de l’Eau, 75016 Paris.
To drive into Paris from the campsite, guests of the campsite have the option of renting bicycles.
Those who like it a little less sporty can use the campsite shuttle. It connects the campsite Paris with the nearby metro station Porte Maillot (line 1), exits 6, 7. The electric shuttle runs every day between 8:30 am and 11:30 pm at a 30-minute taxi from the campsite to Paris and between 8:45 am and 11:45 pm from Paris (Metro Porte Maillot) towards the campsite.
Equipment campsite Paris
The campsite has everything you need for camping. The reception is open every day from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., in July and August even until 11 p.m. The staff I have met are very friendly and are always available for any request.
There are computers in the reception building that guests of the campsite can use to surf the web free of charge. The free wireless network is available throughout the grounds of the campsite.
Residential cottages and free parking spaces
The Paris Indigo campsite has recently been renovated, so it looks very modern. One part is equipped with comfortable cottages and living trailers made of light wood.
The other part of the campsite is used as a space for mobile homes, tents and camping trailers. The Paris campsite has a total of 510 pitches. Paris Indigo is open all year round.
Like the entire campsite, the sanitary facilities have been completely renovated. The result is impressive! The bright washbasins and the wooden lining of the washrooms give the three sanitary facilities on the campsite a slightly Nordic style.
In addition to the lined up washbasins as you can see in the picture, there are also individual washbasins that are located behind lockable doors. This gives you a little more privacy, even when brushing your teeth and applying makeup.
Restaurants and supermarket
The campsite really has a lot to offer. In addition to a restaurant with an outdoor terrace, there has recently been a food truck where home-made pizza and other delicious dishes can be picked up to take away.
The Paris Indigo campsite also has a well-stocked supermarket that is open Monday to Sunday. There you will find, among other things, fresh croissants and pain au chocolat for breakfast.
Playground for children
A large playground has been created next to the campsite restaurant. Right next to it there are table tennis tables and a large cottage where you can while away the time.
It is possible to compete with table football, play board games, have a coffee or make yourself comfortable in the TV corner.
Who would like washing clothes, can do so at the campsite Paris Indigo. There is a laundromat there, for which you can get stamps at reception. Camping guests can also borrow barbecues there. The bikes that I have already spoken of can be used from the beginning of April to the end of September. Animals are allowed on the campsite.
To be honest, I'm not a camper, but I really liked the campsite right from the start. The location on the Seine, not far from the center of Paris and the modern facilities convinced me directly. Just like the price-performance ratio. Because if you take a look at the prices for hotel rooms in Paris and assume that you are traveling with children or friends, then a holiday in a hotel in Paris can be quite expensive!
Prices Paris Indigo campsite
Prices vary depending on the season. The best thing to do is to take a look at the price table for Paris Indigo Camping. In the "Forfait Camping" column you can see the prices per night for a motorhome. The cheapest tariff is 25.30 euros.
The "Forfait Piéton" shows the prices for pitching a tent. 12.80 euros is the cheapest price here. If you want to stay in a wooden cottage for 4 people, you pay between 94 and 146 euros per night. Football EM at the campsite in Paris
The German Football Association has a partnership with Paris Indigo Camping for the European Football Championship in France. A large part of the campsite was reserved by the DFB for German football fans. All games will be broadcast live on large screens like in public viewing. The atmosphere in the middle of the green with fresh beer and fried food is sure to be terrific!
