Paris, the French metropolis has many faces and offers a special highlight for every taste. The famous sights in Paris are scattered all over the city. A stroll across Paris takes you through a wide variety of arrondissements. Each district reflects its own character. There are 20 arrondissements to discover, each of which is subdivided into four quarters. Starting in the center of Paris, the districts spiral clockwise around the 1st arrondissement.

In addition to the division of the city into arrondissements, Paris is divided into the Rive Gauche and Rive Droite, the urban area on the left and right banks of the Seine.
