Costco is like the adult version of Disneyland in my opinion. To be fair, I've never been to Disneyland, but the fun I have at the Elite Wholesale Club is certainly comparable. There are free samples everywhere, for $ 1.50 I can buy lemonade and hot dog, and I can stock up on Kirkland vodka, which was rumored to be just like Gray Goose. What is not to love While Costco is of course fun, most of those who walk through its huge automatic doors have certain products in mind that they keep having in stock.

Of course, it's always possible, with a few impulse purchases, like a two-person kayak or a 93-inch plush bear that just seemed too good to pass up at the time. Most of the time, however, Costco's customers stick to their shopping lists and search for the bulk items they are looking for.

If you like me and are curious about what Costco members swear by, you've come to the right place. Through extensive online research and by interviewing my friends, family members, and co-workers who have this coveted Gold Star membership, I have compiled a list of the most popular Costco cult items that it seems everyone is buying. From the food court to the frozen food department, you'll find 14 proven products that Costco members like to buy in bulk.

1. Sabatasso's frozen pizza

Everyone knows that frozen pizza doesn't mistake a candle for freshly made za, but honestly, Sabatassos comes damn close. It even took first place when we tested frozen pizzas, even though they're gluten-free for their sticky cheese, savory sauce, and thin, crispy crust, which overall doesn't make them from the real deal you ordered at a pizzeria was to be distinguished.

2. Kirkland Signature Olive Oil

Any Italian will tell you that not all olive oils are created equal. Many brands try to save on high quality ingredients and do not meet the standards for the extra virgin grade. According to Samin Nosrat, the head chef at Netflix Salt fat acid heatKirkland's Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil by Costco meets the criteria for a high quality olive oil and is the ideal choice for everyday use. Plus, you can't beat the price of a 2 liter bottle (only $ 16.99!).

3. Roast chicken

Fried chickens are always a quick and easy option for a family dinner, but there are a few reasons you should go to Costco to pick one up instead of going to your local grocery store. First, Costco sells their ready-to-eat, £ 3 fried chicken for just $ 4.99 - a bargain hard to find anywhere else. In addition, Costco has strict policies regarding the health and welfare of poultry. These factors, combined with convenience (and, of course, delicious, juicy meat) make this chicken so popular with loyal Costco buyers.

4. Kirkland Signature Vanilla Extract

Good vanilla extracts can cost up to $ 5 an ounce, but Costco usually sells them Kirkland brand 16-ounce bottle for just $ 26.99. Their version is also pure vanilla, with no added flavoring or coloring, so bakers can be sure that they are only using the good products. Like a bottle of Kirkland Signature, it should have an indefinite shelf life as long as it is stored in a cool, dark place.

5. Kirkland French Vodka

Once you've tried one of Costco's delicious yet inexpensive booze, you can understand why it has such an iconic following. One of the most talked about spirits is the Kirkland branded internal vodka, but for reasons you might not expect. Many people suspect that their vodka is actually a gray goose in disguise. According to legend, both come from the French region of Cognac and use 100% fine French wheat as well as pure artesian spring water from the massive mountains. The real surprise, in my opinion, is that Costco sells this high quality vodka for just $ 20 per handle.

6. Tires and gasoline

While the food at Costco draws shoppers, gasoline and tire prices are a big reason members keep returning. For one, their gasoline is, on average, 20 cents cheaper per gallon than at competing stations, not counting the additional discounts you get when you pay with a Costco credit card. The tires, on the other hand, are well made and very affordable. There are discounts of up to $ 80 during certain times of the year. An added bonus is the pricing factors for free maintenance, including services like changing tires.

7. Hot dog and soda combo

For many Costco customers, a trip to the big box store is only complete when they can get one of the iconic hot dog and lemonade combinations for just $ 1.50 - arguably one of the best deals on that meal, the You will ever find. The hot dogs are all beef, the toppings are unlimited, and the offer includes free soda refills. All in all, this is a win-win for hungry shoppers.

8. Kirkland Signature Maple Syrup

Just before I go to Vermont and knock a tree myself, Costco Kirkland maple syrup is second best. This class A amber syrup is organically grown and is made from 100% maple. So if you love waffles as much as Leslie Knope, you can rest assured that it is the real maple. You won't make fun of the price tag either, as a 34-ounce jug costs only $ 13.29, which is better for your money than your local grocery store.

9. Bakery products

Costco’s bakery is a dangerous place. Their tempting croissants are as buttery and flaky as the ones straight out of a Parisian cafe, while their gigantic blueberry muffins are just too good to miss or put as soon as you start eating one. Another surprising Costco bestseller is the sheet cake, partly because it's big enough to feed an entire office or a birthday party full of hungry kids, but also because they do a great job of customizing their cakes - flavors, fillings, frosting, and so on .

10. Kirkland Signature Mac and Cheese

Costco's pre-made Kirkland Signature Macaroni and Cheese are rich, creamy, and decadent, meaning you may fall into a coma after you eat them. With 10 servings per pack, it's a perfect, no-fuss family meal that isn't too expensive. You will also have leftovers for lunch the next day. It's so tasty that there are dozens of copycat recipes online, but none are as good as the original we bet on.

11. Kirkland peanut butter pretzels

There are few snacks in the world that make it nearly impossible to stop eating, and Costco Peanut Butter Pretzels is one of them. This heavenly tub is the answer to your sweet and salty cravings, but be warned: these bite-sized pretzels are addicting and difficult to feed. The serving size is 8, which I think is a game of "yes I ate them all". Snyders, eat your heart out.

12. Kirkland Signature Almond Butter

While nut butter can go wrong on the expensive side, Costco saves the day with their 27-ounce jar of organic almond butter, which only gets you $ 8 and is probably the best price for this expensive nut butter. Not only is it a great source of protein for a morning boost of energy, but it can also be paired with toast, fruit, or ice cream so you can be sure that each glass will come a long way.

13. Sheila G’s Brownie Brittle

The perfect midnight snack. (Photo: hip2save)

Costco shoppers can't get enough of the huge bags of Sheila G's popular Brownie Brittle, apparently. Each piece is crispy, chocolaty, and delicious if you have a sweet tooth, not to mention the fact that at $ 7, it's better value for a bag than anywhere else. If you're looking for an after-dinner treat or a midnight snack that will last you through the night, you've found it.

14. Kirkland Signature Basil Pesto

All you need is a spoonful of pesto for a delicious pasta dish, but for the best taste you want one that is of the highest quality and made with fresh ingredients. Costco’s Kirkland Basil Pesto is a fan favorite and carries a DOP label, which confirms that the basil is imported from Italy. It comes in a large tub so you can keep it in your freezer and get a ton of mileage out of it. Tip: You can even freeze it in ice cube trays and take a few cubes out if you want to add it to a recipe.
